Our take
Self-hosting a password manager for a team is a niche requirement, and Psono fills it better than most: the client code is open, the server component is also open-source, and end-to-end encryption means the server operator never sees plaintext credentials. The honest catch is complexity: running your own Psono instance requires a server, a database, and ongoing maintenance that a small team may not have capacity for. A managed cloud option exists for those who want the feature set without the ops burden. Skip it if you need a simple personal vault; consider it seriously if you need team secrets with full infrastructure control.
