Our take
OsmAnd is the power-user’s offline map: download whole regions, navigate without a data connection, and layer on far more detail and settings than the friendlier apps, all without Google watching the route. That depth is also its cost, the interface is busy and the learning curve is real, and the free version caps map downloads. Pick it when you want serious offline navigation and customization and you are willing to climb the curve; casual users will prefer something simpler.
