kDrive’s strength is Swiss jurisdiction combined with a genuinely usable product: desktop sync clients, mobile apps, and in-browser office editing without routing your data through US or EU cloud providers. Standard files are encrypted at rest and in transit but are not zero-knowledge by default, so Infomaniak can access them if compelled. A Vault feature provides proper client-side zero-knowledge encryption for sensitive files, but it is opt-in, not the default experience. For privacy-conscious users who want a Google Drive replacement they do not have to self-host, kDrive is a solid choice, as long as you understand that full zero-knowledge requires using the Vault rather than the main drive.
