GPG Suite is the most polished way to use OpenPGP on a Mac, integrating cleanly into Apple Mail and the macOS Services menu so you can encrypt and sign without leaving your regular workflow. The core tools are free and open source; GPG Mail requires a paid support plan for continued use after a 30-day trial, which is a real cost to weigh for personal use. Skip it if you only need file encryption at the command line; reach for it if Apple Mail integration is the goal.
