Our take
Evolution is the natural choice for GNOME desktop users who want a full PIM without piecing together separate apps: mail, calendar, and address book share a common data layer, so a meeting invite in your inbox lands directly in your calendar. Native OpenPGP support means no Enigmail workaround needed. The downside is that the interface shows its age, the Exchange/EWS connector is a separate package, and it is strictly a Linux application with no mobile or Windows counterpart. Best suited to GNOME users already comfortable on the desktop who need an integrated, privacy-respecting alternative to Outlook.
