Cake Wallet is a non-custodial mobile wallet supporting Monero, Bitcoin, and several other coins. Your keys are generated and stored on your device only. Monero transaction scanning happens locally so your view key is never sent to an external server, and the full source code is publicly auditable on GitHub. Desktop builds for macOS and Linux are also available.

Self-custody is the foundation here: Cake Wallet holds nothing on your behalf, and the local-scanning approach for Monero is a concrete privacy improvement over wallets that offload that work to a remote server. The codebase is open source under cake-tech/cake_wallet, so the non-custodial claims are verifiable rather than just asserted. The tradeoff is that managing your own keys means losing access if you lose your seed phrase, with no recovery option. Worth the tradeoff for anyone who prioritizes holding their own keys over the convenience of a custodial service.
